BA FINAL COLLECTION
This collection It is about capturing the beauty in shape and form of the Japanese Geishas’ traditional Kimonos in a modern way. The fabrication created reflects how the wear of time transforms surfaces and textures of delicate and functional matter. To produce this effect I used laser cutting, flocking and screen print to achieve a rustic and worn look. For this collection, I worked extensively with my own fabrication and relied on pattern cutting to replicate elaborate and interesting shapes created through experimental draping.
